Recipes for Food Deserts
Create Recipes for most commonly refused food items
Food distribution sites help people struggling with food insecurity. However, some families will not take food that they do not know how to prepare/cook. Our solution is to provide those families with recipes for underused foods, like squash, zucchini. Volunteers will help create cookbooks for families by submitting recipes, whether that be a step-by-step recipe or a video showing how to prepare your dish.

Red Cross Club is an extension of the local Red Cross unit. Therefore, aside from opportunities for training and leadership development, you will have the ability to choose mission-related activities that address your community’s needs, while delivering the lifesaving services of the Red Cross. Clubs provide a great opportunity to hang out with your closest friends and help your community at the same time.
